West Sussex

Originally designed by the late Debbie Jolley we were asked to tweak some of the hard-landscaping and planting beds around this oak-clad property on the Sussex coast. Due to a high number of interested parties (rabbits and deer) this has proved more challenging than I originally imagined but, bordering a small estuary and blessed with views to spectacular sunsets it’s a forgiving space.

Debbie’s use of wildflower meadows around the house has been hugely successful so more of the same has been added simply by reducing mowing regimes.

A new (shared) orchard will provide screening from neighbouring properties and enhance the intimacy of the pool space.
